The Kirin 9030S powers the phone, which runs HarmonyOS and targets buyers who want something genuinely different from the usual tall-slab flagship.

Huawei Pura X View Full Specifications:

Unique Wide 5:3 Display:

The defining feature of the Pura X View is its unusual display. At 6.39 inches with a wide 5:3 aspect ratio, it's shaped quite differently from a standard tall phone, giving you a broader, more expansive screen that's excellent for watching widescreen video with fewer black bars, running two apps side by side, reading documents, and browsing. The panel itself is superb: an LTPO2 OLED running at 120Hz with a remarkable 6500 nits peak brightness for outstanding outdoor visibility, HDR Vivid support, 1 billion colours, and high-frequency 2160Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort. It's a genuinely fresh take on what a phone screen can be.

Camera:

The camera system is flagship-grade and versatile, with three 50MP sensors covering every situation. The 50MP main camera has a bright f/1.6 aperture and OIS for detailed, well-stabilised shots that perform well in low light, joined by a 50MP telephoto for high-quality zoomed photos and portraits, and a 50MP ultrawide for expansive scenes. Huawei adds laser autofocus and a colour spectrum sensor for fast focusing and accurate colours, and video records up to 4K with HDR Vivid. A 10.7MP front camera handles selfies. Having three high-resolution sensors makes this a genuinely capable, flexible camera for all kinds of photography.

Battery and Design:

Despite its slim, elegant design, the Pura X View packs a large 7000mAh battery, an impressive feat given the phone is just 6.7mm thick and weighs 201g. That big capacity comfortably delivers two full days of normal use, easily seeing out heavy days without a charger, and charging is fast at 66W wired, so top-ups are quick. The combination of a genuinely slim, light body with two-day battery life is unusual and appealing, giving you endurance and portability together rather than making you choose between them.

Performance and Connectivity:

Power comes from Huawei's own Kirin 9030S, a capable 5nm chip with an octa-core Taishan CPU and the Maleoon 935F GPU, handling demanding apps, gaming, multitasking, and camera processing smoothly, well suited to the multitasking the wide screen encourages. It comes with 12GB of RAM and up to a spacious 1TB of storage. Connectivity is comprehensive with 5G, NFC, an infrared port for controlling appliances, a fast USB-C 3.1 port with DisplayPort output for connecting to a monitor, stereo speakers, and excellent multi-band GPS with NavIC. It's also dust and water resistant for everyday peace of mind.

HarmonyOS Operating System:

The Pura X View runs Huawei's own HarmonyOS 7.0 rather than standard Android. It's smooth, polished, and feature-rich, and pairs especially well with the wide screen for multitasking. The key thing to understand before buying is that, like other recent Huawei phones, it does not come with Google Mobile Services, so Google apps such as the Play Store, Gmail, and YouTube aren't pre-installed as they would be on standard Android. Instead, you use Huawei's AppGallery and alternative methods to get apps. Many popular apps are available, but some Google apps can be harder to access, so if you rely heavily on Google services, this is the single most important thing to weigh up and worth discussing with us before purchase. It comes in Red, Gray, White, and Black.
