Tecno Spark 50 Full Specifications:

Design:

Tecno Spark 50 dimensions are 167.8 79.2 x 8.2mm and it weighs 210 grams. Build is glass front, plastic frame and plastic rear. IP64 Completely dust tight and resistant to splashing. The 1.5-meter drop resistance provides everyday physical protection. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor takes care of biometric unlocking. It is available in five color options, Halo Blue, Titanium Gray, Ink Black, Aurora Purple and Bloom Pink, one of the greatest color varieties at this price in Kenya.

Display:

The Spark 50 is equipped with a 6.78-inch IPS at 720 x 1600 pixels (259 ppi) with 120Hz refresh rate. The 120Hz refresh rate means smooth scrolling and interface animation. The HD+ resolution at 259 ppi is sufficient for ordinary viewing, text is sharp, and images are clear enough for social media and YouTube at normal viewing distances. The IPS panel provides consistent color and brightness from wide viewing angles. The real drawback is the HD+ resolution which is far less sharp than FHD+ displays on phones in higher price brackets like the Tecno Spark 30.

Camera:

The Spark 50 carries a 50MP main camera (f/1.9, PDAF) with LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera (f/2.0). The 50MP main camera with PDAF delivers reliable daylight photography and fast autofocus for everyday social media and documentation use. The f/1.9 aperture provides good light intake for a budget sensor. Low-light performance is limited by the sensor size without OIS. The 8MP selfie handles video calls and casual portraits. Camera specification details such as sensor size and video resolution were not confirmed in available pre-launch materials, this page will be updated as full specifications are verified.

Performance:

The Helio G81 with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB and UFS 2.2 storage is reliable for ordinary everyday Kenyan chores. WhatsApp, M-Pesa, social media, YouTube and navigation are seamless on this CPU and RAM combo. The Helio G81 is a budget gaming chip, and casual games run fine on medium settings. If you want 3D games with high settings, you will have to reduce the visuals. The UFS 2.2 storage means you get faster daily app performance than phones that use rival eMMC storage. It runs on the latest software platform, Android 16 with HiOS 16 out of the box.

Connectivity:

The Spark 50 is 4G LTE compatible and on Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom Kenya. 5G not supported. Dual-band Wi-Fi. 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz networks. Bluetooth 5.3 takes care of wireless accessories including earphones. NFC lets you tap and pay. GPS has navigation. FM radio doesn’t require internet. 3.5mm jack for connecting wired earbuds. USB-C charging and data transfer.

Battery and Charging:

The Spark 50 carries a 6,700mAh battery with 18W wired charging. The large Si/C-equivalent cell delivers two to three days of moderate daily use for most Kenyan users. The 18W charging speed is the practical trade-off for the large capacity, a full charge takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours from flat. For most Kenyan users, charging overnight every second or third night is the practical routine rather than daily charging.
