Design:
The Galaxy Tab S9 is 254.3 x 165.8 x 5.9mm in size and weighs 498 grams. The build is a quality sturdy structure with a glass front, metal frame and aluminum rear. The IP68 rating guards against dust and submersion of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, a rare durability certification for any tablet. Biometric unlocking is possible through the under-display optical fingerprint sensor. USB-C port with magnetic construction. Available in Graphite and Beige.
Display:
The Tab S9 packs an 11.0-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display at 1600 x 2560 pixels (274 ppi) with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ compatibility and Gorilla Glass protection. It’s Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is great for productivity and media enjoyment with deep blacks, rich color accuracy and powerful contrast. The 120Hz refresh rate means smooth S Pen tracking and smooth UI scrolling. The 16:10 aspect ratio is a good compromise between width for split screen multitasking and height for document and web browsing.
Cameras:
The Tab S9 features a 13MP primary camera (f/2.0, 26mm, 1/3.4-inch, 1.0µm, autofocus) with LED flash, HDR, panorama. For video calls, there’s a 12MP ultra-wide selfie camera (f/2.4, 120 degrees). Both cameras shoot video at 4K 30fps. Like other tablets, the camera is secondary, good enough for scanning documents, video calls, and casual photos, but hardly the reason to buy the gadget. The 120-degree ultrawide selfie camera is great for video calls, letting you fit more of the room or several people in the shot.
Performance:
The huge 11-inch display offers good sustained performance for multitasking, creative apps and gaming, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on 4nm with 8GB or 12GB RAM and UFS storage. The Adreno 740 GPU can easily handle demanding games and graphics-heavy creative apps. Samsung DeX uses this performance to deliver a really useful desktop-like experience. One UI 6 on Android 13 is confirmed to be supported for up to 4 major Android upgrades, covering software support into the late-2020s.
Charging & Battery:
The Tab S9 comes with an 8,400mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. The huge battery capacity, alongside the AMOLED display’s efficient power drain on static and dark content, delivers strong multi-day endurance for common tablet usage patterns such as note-taking, movie streaming and web surfing. The 45W charging is sufficient to refill the huge cell at a decent pace although the complete charge time isn't included in the specification sheet.
