Design:
The Galaxy A07 measures 167.4 x 77.4 x 7.6mm (6.6 x 3.0 x 0.3 inches) and weighs 184g (6.5 ounces). It's built with a glass front, plastic back and plastic frame. IP54 is protected against dust and water splashes from all directions. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor takes care of biometric unlocking. Available in 3 colors: Gray, Light Violet and Dark Green.
Display:
The Galaxy A07 carries a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display at 720 x 1600 pixels (262 ppi) running at 90Hz. The 90Hz refresh rate provides noticeably smoother scrolling than the 60Hz panels common on competing budget phones at this price. PLS LCD is Samsung's own LCD variant, providing good colour accuracy and viewing angles. The HD+ resolution is standard for this price tier, adequate for everyday content viewing, messaging, and social media.
Camera:
Galaxy A07 packs a 50MP main camera (f/1.8, 1/2.76”, 0.64µm, PDAF) with an additional lens and LED flash, and an 8MP selfie camera (f/2.0, 1/4.0”, 1.12µm). The 50MP main camera with PDAF provides reliable daylight photos and rapid autofocus suitable for everyday social media and archiving. Records video at 1080p at 30fps and 60fps. The auxiliary lens provides depth sensing for portrait mode photos. The 8MP selfie camera is used for video calls and regular portraits.
Performance:
The Helio G99 on 6nm with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB RAM and UFS 2.2 storage makes everyday performance for ordinary Kenyan daily tasks smooth, WhatsApp, M-Pesa, social media, YouTube and navigation function consistently. The Mali-G57 MC2 GPU is well enough for light gaming on medium settings. The 6nm technology is more power-efficient than the 12nm CPUs used in many rival budget phones at this price, which helps the battery last a long time. One UI 8 on Android 15 offers Samsung’s software experience with 6 guarantyd major Android upgrades.
Connectivity:
Galaxy A07 supports 4G LTE on Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom Kenya. It doesn’t do 5G. Home & office Wi-Fi 5 dual-band with Wi-Fi Direct wireless Bluetooth 5.3 looks after wireless earphones and accessories. GPS with multi-GNSS compatibility (GLONASS, Galileo, BDS) for navigation. FM radio does not require internet. Wired earbuds plug into the 3.5mm headphone jack. USB-C 2.0 handles both charging and data. This model does not include any NFC.
Battery and Charging:
The Galaxy A07 carries a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging. The 5,000mAh cell covers a full day of moderate daily use for typical Kenyan usage patterns. The 25W charging speed is faster than most competing phones at this price point, restoring the battery more quickly during the day than the 10W to 18W charging common on budget alternatives.
