Battery and Charging:

This is a battery phone, plain and simple. The 7700mAh cell is roughly 50% bigger than the 5000mAh most phones ship with, and because Redmi used silicon-carbon (denser than normal lithium), it fits without making the phone a brick. In real terms: two days of calls, WhatsApp, video, and browsing, or a very heavy single day with charge left. 45W wired tops it back up quickly, and reverse wired charging turns the phone into a power bank for your earbuds in a pinch.

Display:

Good news at this price: it's a real 6.99-inch AMOLED, not an LCD. That means true blacks, punchy colour, and a smooth 120Hz refresh, plus it hits 1800 nits at peak so it's readable outdoors. It's a genuinely nice screen for watching video and scrolling, and the large size suits the big-battery, media-phone character.

The Camera:

One 50MP rear camera. In daylight it takes sharp, detailed photos, and the 16MP selfie is fine for calls and social. Be clear-eyed though: there's no ultrawide or zoom lens, so no wide landscapes or optical zoom, and video caps at 1080p. It's a solid everyday point-and-shoot, not a camera phone.

Performance and Connectivity:

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 is a value chip tuned for battery life over speed, day-to-day use, social apps, and video and light games, runs smoothly with up to 8GB RAM; demanding titles will struggle. Storage is UFS 2.2 up to 256 GB, expandable by microSD (but the card shares the second SIM slot, so it's two SIMs or a card, not both). You also get an IR blaster to control TVs and ACs, Hi-Res audio, and NFC on some units. Note the older USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 5, all fine for everyday use.
