Modio M798 Kids Tablet in Kenya

The Modio M798 Tablet price in Kenya is KES 8,000. It is an affordable 7-inch children's tablet with a sharper 1280x800 IPS screen, dual-SIM support, and generous storage. It charges via USB-C, comes in Blue, and carries a 6-month warranty at Smartphones Planet Kenya.

What You Should Know Before Buying the Modio M798:

  • Sharper screen than most: A 7-inch IPS at 1280x800 is crisper than the basic HD panels on many cheap kids' tablets.
  • It takes a SIM: Dual micro-SIM support means it can use mobile data, or run Wi-Fi only.
  • The 256GB storage: Plenty for apps, learning content, and videos, expandable further by microSD.
  • The 6GB RAM includes virtual memory: Physical RAM is lower, with the rest borrowed from storage, normal at this price.
  • It's an entry kids' device: Great for learning apps, videos, and games, not demanding use.

A Good First Tablet for Kids:

The M798 is designed as an affordable, child-friendly tablet. Its 7-inch size suits smaller hands, and the 1280x800 IPS screen is a genuine step up in sharpness and viewing angles over the basic panels found on many budget kids' tablets, making videos, learning apps, and e-books clearer and more comfortable to watch. With a child-friendly setup, it's a dependable device for learning games, cartoons, and educational content, and we can advise on setting up parental controls and a safe app selection.

Storage, Cameras, and Connectivity:

Storage is a strong point: a generous 256GB onboard, expandable further with a microSD card, so there's ample room for apps, downloaded videos, and photos. It has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera for photos and video calls. Connectivity includes dual micro-SIM support, so it can use mobile data on the go (or stay Wi-Fi only at home), and it charges conveniently via USB-C. The 3000mAh battery suits the compact screen for sessions of learning and play.
