Itel VistaTab 12 in Kenya
The Itel VistaTab 12 price is KES 17,000. It is a non-cellular 10.1-inch Android tablet for everyday media, browsing, and studying, measuring a slim 7.9mm and weighing 420g, with a big 7000mAh battery and dual speakers. Vistatab 12 runs Android 16 on the Helio G85, comes in Space Grey and Titanium Gold, and carries a 1-year warranty.
The Display and Content Consumption:
The large 10.1-inch display gives a comfortable canvas for watching video, browsing, reading, online classes, and video calls, far roomier than a phone, with dual speakers for fuller sound. It's a low-resolution 800 x 1280 panel reaching 400 nits, standard for an affordable tablet and clear enough for everyday content, though not sharp for detailed media. The slim 7.9mm, 420g body is easy to hold.
Performance and Battery:
The MediaTek Helio G85 is a capable budget chip, smooth for streaming, browsing, social apps, video calls, and light games, with 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a microSD slot for more space. The 7000mAh battery comfortably lasts all day and more of typical use, so it's ready for long streaming or study sessions. It charges over USB-C (confirm the exact charging speed at purchase, the sheet doesn't list it).
Connectivity and the Rest:
It connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie for scanning and video calls. Two things to note: it's a Wi-Fi-only tablet, so it doesn't take a SIM for mobile data and has no GPS, and there's no headphone jack. It runs Android 16.
