Honor Play 20A in Kenya and Features

The Honor Play 20A price in Kenya is KES 25,000. It is a budget smartphone that pairs a large 6.9-inch 90Hz display with a big 6000mAh battery and a distinctive small rear display for quick glances and notifications. With full Google services, expandable storage, and a clean, easy-to-use design, it covers all the essentials of calling, messaging, social media, and browsing at a budget-friendly price. It comes with a 2-year warranty at Smartphones Planet in Nairobi.

What You Should Know Before Buying:

• It's an affordable everyday phone: Designed for the essentials, calls, messaging, WhatsApp, social media, and browsing, rather than heavy gaming or photography.
• The battery is large: A 6000mAh battery comfortably lasts well over a day on a single charge.
• It runs full Google services: As an Honor phone with MagicOS 9, it includes the Google Play Store, Gmail, and YouTube normally, unlike Huawei phones.
• It has a small rear display: An unusual touch at this price, handy for notifications, the clock, and quick glances.
• It's 4G with a 720p screen: No 5G, and the large display is HD+ resolution, standard for the budget class.

Display a Rear Mini Screen:

The Honor Play 20A is built around its large 6.9-inch display, which runs at a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, uncommon at this price, for fluid scrolling and navigation. At 720p HD+ it's perfectly clear for video, social media, browsing, and messaging, with plenty of room to see and do more. A genuinely distinctive touch is the small secondary display on the back, which is unusual on a budget phone and handy for glancing at the time, notifications, and quick info, or for framing selfies with the main camera. It gives the phone a bit of personality and practicality you rarely see at this price.

A Big Battery:

Battery life is a real strength. The large 6000mAh battery comfortably powers through well over a full day of typical use, calls, messaging, social media, music, and browsing, and often stretches further for lighter users, so you spend less time worrying about a charger. It charges over USB-C at 15W. Combined with the efficient Helio G81 chip, it's a dependable all-day companion, which is exactly what most people want from an affordable, practical everyday phone.

Performance and Google Services:

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G81, the Play 20A handles the everyday essentials smoothly, calls, WhatsApp, social media, browsing, and video, along with lighter games. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage, and importantly it has a dedicated microSD slot, so you can expand storage without giving up a second SIM. It runs Android 15 with MagicOS 9, and as an Honor phone it includes full Google Mobile Services, so the Google Play Store, Gmail, YouTube, and all your usual apps work normally out of the box, unlike Huawei phones.

Design and Features

The Honor Play 20A keeps things practical and easy to use. It has a convenient side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick, secure unlocking, dual-SIM support alongside the dedicated microSD slot, and a 13MP main camera with a 5MP front camera that handle everyday snaps, social media, and video calls. Connectivity covers 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB-C port. As an accessible, no-fuss smartphone with a big screen, big battery, and full Google apps, it's a great pick for a first phone, a student phone, a backup device, or anyone who wants dependable everyday connectivity affordably. It comes in Midnight Black, Light Blue, and Starry Purple.
